Help Kushal Thapa
- January 01, 2022
In late October, a donor reached out to me with a heartfelt proposal: to assist 13-year-old Kushal Thapa in undergoing a much-needed operation on his right hand. Two years ago, steel was implanted in his hand, but its removal had been delayed due to financial constraints. To confirm the case, I contacted Kushal's mother. She had no words to express her gratitude; her tears conveyed a story of struggle and hope.
The Lamjung Community Hospital estimated the cost of the steel extraction at Rs 85,000. Doubtful, I sought confirmation from others in Nepal, only to learn that such procedures are indeed as costly as the initial implant. Since Janmading.com is still in its early stages, it couldn’t cover the entire amount, but we managed to allocate approximately £300 for the operation.
Thanks to the combined efforts and generosity of donors, Kushal’s operation was a success. Following the procedure, his mother, Usha Thapa, called me to express her heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed through Janmading.com.
